Explore the richness of Beloit Box Board Company’s history – a premier manufacturer of 100% recycled and recyclable paperboard since 1907. As one of the leading pioneers in recycling, our journey spans over six generations of family ownership. Each generation has contributed to the growth and transformation of Beloit Box Board Company to make it one of the most productive and efficient mills in the Midwest.
Guided by our unwavering commitment to high-quality production and environmental sustainability, we continue to advance our capabilities to serve you better. We invite you to delve into our past and learn about our sustainable journey from the very beginning.
1855 – The Beloit Paper Mill Company was born out of a humble sawmill plant. In our relentless pursuit to innovate, in 1892 we installed our first paper machine and in the 1920s, replaced paper and straw with recycled waste paper as our raw material.
Through the years, we’ve achieved significant milestones like upgrading our equipment, switching from coal to natural gas for more eco-friendly production, and installing a complete stock preparation system. Each step in our journey has been marked by advances that have propelled us forward both in terms of enhanced productivity and sustainability.
We’ve seen generational shifts in leadership, and with each, an increased focus on technology, efficiency, and the environment. With every era, from J.A. Fisher’s presidency in the 1920s to Erik Chamberlain’s current leadership, we’ve continued to make strides in enhancing our production capabilities.
Over the past decades, we have upgraded our facilities, installed state-of-the-art equipment, and established effective waste paper management systems. And we’ve emerged stronger with each challenge, always ready to embrace the future with environmentally friendly solutions.
In our latest innovations, the introduction of the Transphase Technology Steam Box has further solidified our commitment to delivering the highest quality products.
Our story isn’t just about history, it’s about a journey of continual growth and unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability. Take a closer look at our evolution, see how an old mill in the Midwest has remained ever-relevant and productive in today’s era, and become part of our future.
